How to set up your StrongHold door anchor
Share

Using a door anchor is a fantastic way to turn any sturdy doorway into an at-home cable machine, and open up even more exercise options with Strong Band! Here's how to get set up 👇🏼
1. Choose the Correct Door
- Use a door that opens away from you, so the force pulls the door closed, not open. If you are using a door that opens towards you, make sure you securely lock it.
- Make sure the door and frame are solid, with no loose hinges
2. Place the Door Anchor
- Depending on what exercise you want to do, place the anchor at the top, side or bottom of the door.

Top of the Door
- Open the door.
- Place the padded stopper on the opposite side of the door (the side you won’t be exercising on).
- Drape the strap over the top of the door.
- Close the door firmly until it clicks shut.
Side of the Door
- Open the door halfway.
- Position the stopper on the far side of the door at the desired height (or just above the lock if the anchor does not stay in place).
- Close the door so the strap is squeezed between the door and frame.
Bottom of the Door
- Open the door.
- Place the stopper near the bottom hinge or anywhere along the bottom edge.
- Close the door fully before attaching your band.
3. Test the Anchor
- Before attaching your band, test the door anchor by tugging firmly on the strap to ensure it’s locked in place.
- Confirm the door won’t move or open.
- Never use an unlocked or weak door.
4. Attach Your Resistance Bands
- Press open the carabiner clip

- Carefully hook your band in the opening of the carabiner, taking care to avoid scratching your band

- Release the carabiner to secure your band

- You're ready to train!
Safety Tips
- Inspect bands for cracks or tears before every workout.
- Stand far enough back so the band stays taut throughout the movement.
- Do not use on glass doors or doors with loose frames.
